Dynamo Quartz Care & Maintenance Guide

Dynamo Quartz surfaces are made from one of the hardest minerals on earth. Our surfaces blend natural quartz with advanced polymer resins to produce countertops that are not only visually stunning but also incredibly durable and easy to maintain. This guide will help you care for your Dynamo Quartz and ensure it remains beautiful and functional for years to come.

Key Features of Dynamo Quartz

  • Nonporous and stain-resistant
  • Does not require sealing or polishing
  • Highly resistant to scratches and heat
  • Certified for hygiene and safety in food prep areas
  • Available in a wide array of colors and styles

Everyday Cleaning

Use a soft cloth or nonabrasive sponge with a mild detergent or dish soap diluted in warm water. Avoid harsh scrubbers or abrasive cleaners. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft towel to prevent spotting.

Cleaning Tough Spills & Dried Residue

  • For dried spills, gently scrape using a plastic putty knife or a non-scratch pad.
  • Apply a nonabrasive household cleaner like 409®, Windex®, or Simple Green®.
  • Allow it to sit for up to 10 minutes and wipe clean with a soft cloth.
  • For oily residues, use a degreasing agent safe for quartz surfaces.

What to Avoid

  • Do not use bleach or cleaners containing high pH (alkaline) or low pH (acidic) levels.
  • Avoid oven cleaners, drain openers, or any chemical with trichloroethane or methylene chloride.
  • Never use scouring pads, steel wool, or abrasives like Comet® or Soft Scrub®.
  • Do not apply sealants or polishes; the surface is nonporous and requires none.

Heat Protection

Although Dynamo Quartz is heat resistant, avoid placing hot pans, slow cookers, or electric skillets directly on the surface. Always use trivets or hot pads. Extreme temperature shifts can lead to cracking or discoloration.

Scratch Prevention

Quartz is incredibly durable but not invincible. Avoid cutting directly on the surface—use a cutting board. Be cautious around the edges, especially near dishwashers or under-mounted sinks, as impact can chip the material.

Quartz Surface Care Do's & Don'ts

  • Do clean with mild soap and water regularly.
  • Do blot spills immediately—especially wine, tea, coffee, and oil.
  • Don't expose surfaces to solvents, nail polish remover, or permanent markers.
  • Don't use abrasive pads or acidic cleaners.
  • Don't use as a chopping surface.

Antimicrobial & Hygienic Properties

Our quartz is engineered to resist bacteria growth, making it a perfect solution for kitchens and bathrooms. It is hygienic by design and ideal for food contact applications when properly cleaned.

Warranty Coverage

Dynamo Quartz is covered under a 10-year limited warranty. This includes manufacturer defects but excludes damage caused by improper use or care. Warranty documentation is available upon request.
